Trauma-informed somatic healing experiences for retreats, communities, and transformational groups

Healing that’s real — and unexpectedly joyful

Many groups don’t need more tools, more processing, or another breakthrough conversation.

They already know how to regulate, communicate, reflect, repair, attune, and self-reveal.

They’re high-functioning, self-aware, and committed to growth.

But even the most evolved groups can hit an invisible ceiling — not because anything is wrong,  but because of subtle premises they’re still organized around:

“I have to hold things together — if I don’t, everything will fall apart.”

“I can be real — but not too real.”

“Discomfort means I’m growing — so I should lean into it, even when it hurts.”

“If I soften, I’ll lose my power."

“It’s safer to help than to be seen.”

These aren’t flaws — they’re protections.

And when a whole group is full of intelligent, open, growth-oriented people who still feel that subtle protection inside…

The next level of connection doesn’t come from trying harder.

It comes from being met — in the body, in relationship, in the exact place where protection forms.

That’s the work I do.

I guide groups into a gentle, body-led field where the deeper layers of protection — the ones beneath the tools, beneath the language, beneath the insight — can finally soften.

And when that softening happens, what’s real — connection, truth, warmth, joy — takes the lead.

This isn’t about “working through issues.”

It’s about expanding capacity — to feel, to relate, to stay open, to be moved, to be more fully yourself with others.... together.

Relational mastery doesn’t plateau.

It evolves — and the evolution is soft, warm, connected, and deeply pleasurable.

What this looks like

Every space is different, but the heart of the work is the same:

instead of fixing what’s arising… we meet it.

I guide groups into gentle, body-led awareness that allows intensity to give way to tenderness — and protection to give way to connection.

Here’s what that looks like in real time:

• conflict relaxes into connection
• fear of being seen shifts into belonging
• emotional shutdown melts into presence
• over-accommodation softens into self-honoring
• anxiety rests into knowing
• grief opens into tenderness
• guilt transforms to forgiveness
• shame dissolves into self-regard
• relational rupture becomes repair
• the inability to stay present with intensity becomes capacity to stay you

When protection relaxes, people don’t just “regulate” or “cope” better.

They feel different — safer, clearer, more themselves — in real time.

And what’s most moving is that the shift isn’t heavy.

There’s often relief… softness… even laughter.

People reconnect with the parts of themselves they once pushed away — and from that place, connecting with others becomes easier, warmer, and more real.

Not because they tried harder.

But because something protective inside finally felt met — and once that happens, the nervous system lets joy and connection return on their own.

Types of groups I work with

This work supports spaces where people are already doing the inner work and are ready for a deeper layer of embodiment.

Examples include:

  • healing and integration retreats (women’s, men’s, and mixed-gender)

  • psychedelic-assisted support spaces

  • DEI and anti-racism programs rooted in dignity rather than performance

  • postpartum and motherhood communities

  • conscious-relating and polyamory groups

  • recovery and addiction-healing programs

  • intentional communities and spiritual groups

  • leadership circles that value emotional intelligence

  • nonprofit teams navigating intense service and burnout

If your space is relational, emotionally aware, and committed to truthtruth that is as gentle and sweet as it is transformative and true — this work fits.

Format options

I tailor the experience to the group’s needs.

Examples include:

  • guided somatic healing sessions for groups

  • relational repair + conflict integration support

  • nervous-system–informed facilitation for emotional intensity

  • trauma-informed process support for retreats and circles

  • tools for sustaining openness after breakthroughs

  • follow-up support to anchor what shifts during retreats or programs

Sessions can be facilitative, experiential, or a blend of both.

In every case, the work is gentle, embodied, and immediately impactful.

What groups experience

After a session or series, people often describe:

  • feeling softer and safer inside themselves

  • the ability to stay present during intensity

  • honest conversations without collapse or defense

  • more trust in the group field

  • easier access to vulnerability

  • relief that doesn’t fade after the meeting or retreat ends

  • a sense of coming home to themselves — not conceptually, but physically

In short:

people don’t just learn tools — they change from the inside.

Availability

I work with groups both:

  • In person (Atlanta or travel)

  • Online (Zoom, hybrid, or livestream into retreats)

Next step

If your group is feeling the yes — let's explore the fit and shape of the work together.

You can either:

Reach out through my contact form (share a little about the group and what you’re wanting), or—

• Reply with the best times for a short call, and I’ll send a scheduling link.

If your group is feeling the resonance

I don’t believe groups need to perform healing to access it.

With the right support, openness becomes natural. Safety becomes real. And what wants to heal, heals.

I’d be honored to support your group if this resonates.

"Leslie led us through a beautiful experience of her modality, Inquiry Meditation. She transmitted an energy of warmth that made it easy and safe to drop in deep and feel and hear something real from my real self

— something vital and tender and true. I was amazed at how light I felt afterwards."

"Leslie's work is transformational. She is an incredible guide; patient, gentle, and kind. She is capable of helping people reach tender places while feeling safe and cared for, and holding the most gentle and caring space during the entire process.

I highly recommend Leslie Quigless and her beautiful work for all of those who are on a healing path."
