More About Leslie Quigless

I’m an educator by training and an artist  —  and a teacher — by nature.

For over two decades, I taught adolescents and adults in New York, Brazil, and Atlanta — work that began with master’s degrees from NYU and Harvard and evolved into a lifelong devotion to how human beings learn, unfold, and awaken.

The roots of my work

My spiritual education has spanned my entire adulthood.

The discipline of Vipassana Meditation shaped my capacity to stay with sensation — particularly through S. N. Goenka’s profound emphasis on direct experience.

Byron Katie’s “The Work” taught me the clarity of inquiry.

Kyle Cease’s teachings reminded me I could trust the transformation I could feel happening in me.

And through Carolyn Elliott and Regena Thomashauer, I entered the advanced study of pleasure as a spiritual art.

Each of these threads has woven itself into what is now Inquiry Meditation — a living technology of reunion between consciousness and the body.

Other expressions of my devotion

I’m also the co-creatrix and moderator of HEAT, a shadow-play group game that invites people to transmute their pain by exploring its edges with so much curiosity and compassion.

And I’m a lifelong storyteller — a former journalism major at UNC-Chapel Hill (Tar Heels forever!) whose love of language eventually led me back to creative writing and a recently released novel.

My orientation

My orientation is that of an artist.

For me, healing is an art form — an encounter with beauty, quality, and the living Mystery.

Each Inquiry Meditation session is a work of art we co-create—
a radiant jewel of presence, tenderness, and truth.

Together, we listen.

We make a space of welcome for the Mystery.

And then we become still enough to receive its grace.

Crystal Salt
“Having done more traditional forms of therapy in the past, I knew I was looking for something more. I was looking for something kinder, something that feels like "good" hard work. I have found all of that and more in Inquiry Meditation."
